wow...looks like a very hard language! With all the.... alphabet like this....
That's a funny story Isabelle, but I can imagine it must have felt a little frustrating too! Still, I often confuse kitchen and chicken ... it must have something to do with poulet in general :)
This is a funny story. Did they gal give you the jacket or a chicken? xo
Allez courage !!!
Oh I love this Isabelle!!!
I was going to do a similar post - maybe in the future.
Good luck with your communication in Poland :^)
Bonjour,
Do zobaczenia !
i can just about imagine... the amount of consonants!...
Totally agree about this weird language...met two polish students during my studies who tried to teach me polish words, but I had to capitulate! Unpronouncable! The only word I still remember is wiewiórka (=squirrel) and this was because of a nearly similarly funny incidence as the chicken-thing! Haha! :oD
I'm always looking for my lost chicken too! :)
ha ha!
;)
I remember our worst problem in Polska with the language was trying to buy sugar...zuker (¿?)...imposible...but most used word was piwo and wasserniegasobana (not sure about what I have write)
Your parcel is growing...
We went to Poland once, about nine years ago. It was really funny, because we couldn't seem to find any grocery stores, and we didn't know the word for groceries as well. We ended up using sign language a lot, even though we do speak German and English. I loved that country.
