After the birth of each of his grand children he decided to plant a tree in his garden.
When we meet every summer the kids love checking if their tree grew well.
A la naissance de tous ses petits enfants il décida de planter un arbre dans son jardin.
Quand on se retrouve chaque été les enfants aiment aller voir si leur arbre a bien grandi.

I have an uncle...not so taleted, and that works wood just in his spare time...meanwhile he is teacher...so I love that too...that nobel material...

You found some beautiful and inspiring wood images. I remember a photo of your dad's workshop you posted once. It must have been nice to grow up surrounded by wood and your father's woodwork.

C'est bien là notre père, un passionné de cette noble matière. Il a su éveiller nos sens dès l'enfance à travers les odeurs de sciure qui remontaient de la cave, le toucher lorsqu'il confectionnait les tiroirs sculptés de la cuisine, la fierté de découvrir de nouvelles créations au fil des mois et puis la sensibilisation, et la conscience environnementale, et puis j'ai envie de le suivre quand il dit que le bois est le seul matériau renouvelable et qu'il faut prendre soin de nos richesses naturelles.
